The Doria Feminist Fund is a fund of recent creation operating in a wide region. They needed the best online communication tools to present themselves to the world, convey what they pursue and offer, and interact with organizations and allies.
They wanted to launch on March 8, International Women's Day (IWD), which gave us a short timeframe –less than a month–, so we proposed a simple website with the goal to present the Fund, its identity, history and offer to the main audiences: current or potential funders of the Fund; and feminist and women’s organizations who may want to apply to the Fund’s granting programs.
Challenges and advantages
A key challenge for us on this project was that the website ought to be in three languages, including Arabic. Although we have created multi-language websites before, this was the first website we had to create in the right-to-left logic of the language, so we had to expedite research and learning.
One advantage we had for the project was the amazing branding, design assets and guidelines that Nada Hesham and Studio 40MUSTAQEL developed for the Fund. Their deliverables let us hit the ground running on that front.
